Solar Panel Cleaning
Is Professional Solar Panel Cleaning really necessary?
Yes!
If Prescott’s monsoons perfectly cleaned our cars, then there wouldn’t be a need for car washes. The same is true with solar panels. Dirt, debris, pollution, construction dust, and surprise gifts from birds and bugs can significantly reduce the efficiency of your panels, sometimes up to 25 or 30%. This reduces the ROI in the short term and can significantly reduce your ROI in the long term due to progressive build up on the panels. It is necessary and even sometimes required from a manufacturer’s warranty.
How we clean solar panels
The Process
We never use soap, solvents or chemicals to clean your panels. We also don’t use a pressure washer since the excess pressure can actually force water past the seals of the panels. We only use a low-pressure pure water system to remove everything from the panels and rinse them to be clean and efficient for you, even better than a spot free rinse in the car wash.
Does your cleaner need to be insured?
100% Yes!
Most window cleaning or handyman businesses are not insured specifically for solar panel cleaning. Meaning any risk is then put on the shoulders of the owner. We are insured for window cleaning, and specifically insured for solar panel cleaning. You, your property, your windows or panels are all covered, meaning there’s no risk to you. Coverage and experience means you can simply relax and just let us handle the task for you.
How often do solar panels need cleaned?
Twice a year
We recommend cleaning your solar panels at least twice a year. Solar panel cleaning can simply be added to your window cleaning service, or done by itself at a time convenient to you.
